They are also known by alternative names such as 9V NiMH, 6LR61, or 006P. These batteries are equivalent in size and voltage to standard 9V alkaline batteries. However, the alkaline 9V batteries are alkaline-manganese batteries with a longer shelf life but are not rechargeable.
