Energizer Rechargeable C batteries are NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) batteries primarily used in high-drain devices such as portable radios, flashlights, and toys. They are also known by alternative names such as HR14 or C NiMH. These batteries are equivalent in size and voltage to standard C alkaline batteries. However, the alkaline C batteries are alkaline-manganese batteries with a longer shelf life but are not rechargeable.
